Additional information

The long-term toxicity of the isosorbide diesters (EC No. 700 -073 -5) on the reproduction of Daphnia magna has been determined according to the OECD guideline 211 and in compliance with GLP

The test was performed under semi-static conditions and the daphnids were exposed to the limit concentration of 1 mg/L. All the validity criteria were fullfilled and the exposure concentrations were satisfactory maintained within 80 -120% of the nominal value.

No inhibitory effect was observed on the reproduction of Daphnia magna at the tested concentration of 1 mg/L/

The substance Isosorbide di-octanoate (CAS No. 64896-70-4 ) was considered to show a NOEC ≥ 1 mg/L on the basis of the results obtained in this long-term Daphnia magna reproduction test performed on a very similar analogue.
