The explosive properties of the isosorbide diesters (EC No. 700 -073 -5) has been determined according to EU method A.14 and in compliance with the GLP. Both the heat sensitivity and the sensitivity to skock was assessed.

The substance Isosorbide di-octanoate (CAS No. 64896-70-4 ) was not considered to have explosive properties based on this test performed on a very similar analogue.
