Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The results of the limit test showed no inhibition to algae growth up to the concentration of 100 mg/l nominal.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L

Additional information

The median growth inhibiting concentration (ErC50/EyC50) to the green algae Desmodesmus subspicatus, based on the average specific growth rate and the yield (algal biomass production), was investigated over a period of 72 h according to the OECD test guideline 201. A limit test was performed at the nominal concentration of 100 mg/l. An average time weighted average concentration of 98.3 mg/l was measured. Therefore, the concentration of Primid QM-1260 was stable during the test.

It can be concluded that the ErC50 (0-72 h) and the EyC50 (0-72 h) of Primid QM-1260 to Desmodesmus subspicatus were >98.3 mg/l, both. By means of the STUDENT-t test for homogeneous variances, the no-observed-effect concentration for growth rates (NOErC) and yield (NOEyC) of Primid QM-1260 was 98.3 mg/l.
