Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Study reports have been available for acute tests with fish, invertebrates, algae and long-term toxicity test for Daphnia. The results are summarized as below:

Fish acute toxicity test: Based on the key study result, after exposure conditions over a period of 96 h, the LC50 >124 mg/l was obtained.

Daphnia acute toxicity test: Based on the key study result, the EC50 is above 100 mg/l based on the nominal concentration.

Alga growth inhibition test: Based on the key study result, there was no inhibition to algae growth up to the concentration of 100 mg/l.

Long-term toxicity to Daphnia: Based on the read-across result, the no observed effect concentration was concluded to be 200 mg/l nominal after 22 days exposure.

The data for the Daphnia reproduction test has been available and shows there is no chronic toxicity (22d-NOEC=200 mg/l). So, we could deduce there is also low chronic toxicity for fish. Thus, no additional test for long-term toxicity test of fish is necessary.

There was no inhibitory effect on sewage sludge bacteria up to the concentration of 55.7 mg/l. And the concentration 55.7 mg/l can be selected to estimate the PNECSTP.
