Description of key information

Approx. 20 % of pitch, coal tar, high-temp. is volatile up to 500 °C (~ 770 K) at 101 kPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
400 °C

Additional information

A definite boiling point does not exist. At a temperature of > 400 °C, pitch, coal tar, high-temp. starts decomposing.
