Additional information

Three trophic levels in aquatic toxicology are covered by acute tests. Whereas fish as well as daphnids indicated that the test substance is with high probability not harmful to these trophic levels (EC/LC50 > 100 mg/L), algae turned out to react more sensitive with an ErC50 of 1.95 mg/L after 72 hours of exposure. Therefore, the test substance has to be considered to be acutely toxic to aquatic organisms and the effect value for algae is used for PNEC derivation.
