Additional information

Biodegradation of 4-nitrotoluene-2-sulphonic acid was determined according to OECD Guideline 301C and 301E using a mixture of sewage, soil and natural water as well as effluent from laboratory sewage treatment plant, respectively. The result showed a degradation rate of 3 % and 0 % after 28 days and 29 days, respectively. Therefore, the test substance is poorly biodegradable.
