Description of key information

Carbon dioxide is formed through the reaction of 4-chlorophenyl isocyanate with water, which is not flammable. Testing for pyrophoric properties and flammability on contact with water is not necessary due to the absence of structural alerts and the existing experience with handling and use of the test substance (R.7a, ECHA, 2008).
