Nominal / measured:

Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
reproduction
Details on results:
Analytical verification of the test item concentrations was conducted in all treatments at day 0, 2, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19 and 21. Recoveries at the different sampling days ranged from 101.1 to 53.9% of the nominal values (freshly prepared and old test solutions). Biological results were based on nominal and time weighted mean test item concentrations. The day of first brood ranged from 8 to 21 and the number of offspring varied between 0 and 139. At test end the body length of the adult daphnids ranged from 3.9 to 4.3 mm and the dry weight of the adult daphnids ranged from 0.537 to 0.907 mg. All validity criteria of the standard chronic test were fulfilled. Significantly lower reproduction compared to the controls was observed in the treatment 6 µg fenpropimorph /L and higher. Body dry weight and body length of the parent daphnids was significantly affected at the highest test concentration 24 µg fenpropimorph /L.
Reported statistics and error estimates:
Analysis of Variance (Dunnett’s test) for reproduction body length and dry
weight.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Overall NOEC = 3 (2.2) µg a.i./L nominal (time weighted mean);
LOEC = 6 (4.5) µg a.i./L nominal (time weighted mean)
