Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Fenpropimorph can be classified as non-mobile in soil. In all soils investigated, the Koc values were > 2772 ml/g, with a mean of 4382 ml/g at an average temperature of 22°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
4 382

Another additional study about the strong adsorption of fenpropimorph to soil was published results from Stockmaier et al. (1996/10365) with 2 soils and is summarized below. The KD values were determined within that publication and were calculated here to KOC with the reported organic carbon contents of the soils, compare Table 2.

Other additional studies on metabolites are existing and are summarized in the following.
Considering the results of the new metabolism data on fenpropimorph (2004/1022507) and the formation of metabolite fenpropimorph-acid, an adsorption/desorption study on fenpropimorph-acid was conducted and measured adsorption parameters are given in table 3.
Soil metabolite fenpropimorph-acid is expected to be less mobile in acidic soil (pH < 6, Koc 75) compared to alkaline soil (pH >7, Koc 19-32).
