First-aid measures

General advice:
Recommendations must be interpreted considering the available specific information regarding the patient and in conjunction with other sources
of authority.
If inhaled:
After inhalation of dust. Fresh air. If difficulties occur: Seek medical attention. After inhalation of decomposition products: Immediately inhale
corticosteroid dose aerosol.
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention.
On skin contact:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
On contact with eyes:
Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
Seek medical attention.
On ingestion:
Rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water,
seek medical attention.
Note to physician:
Hazards: After inhalation of decomposition products: Risk of pulmonary edema.
Symptoms can appear later.
Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific antidote.
After inhalation of decomposition products: Pulmonary odema prophylaxis.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
water, foam, dry extinguishing media, water spray
Specific hazards:
At temperatures of 100 °C can be emitted:
isobutyraldehyde, carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, dinitrogen oxide
Special protective equipment:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information:
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

Environmental precautions:
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater. Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.
Methods for cleaning up or taking up:
For large amounts: Sweep/shovel up.
For residues: Sweep/shovel up.

Handling and storage

Protection against fire and explosion:
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Avoid influence of heat.
When stored loose do not mix with other fertilizers. Store well away from other substances.
Suitable materials for containers:
High density polyethylene (HDPE), Low density polyethylene (LDPE)
Further information on storage conditions: Protect from direct sunlight. Protect against heat. Protect against moisture. Protect against contamination. The substance/product may cake under the influence of moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Components with workplace control parameters
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection:
Breathing protection if breathable aerosols/dust are formed. (Particle filter EN 143 P1)
General safety and hygiene measures:
At the end of the shift the skin should be cleaned and skin-care agents applied.

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition: approx. 100 °C
To avoid thermal decomposition, do not overheat. Thermal
decomposition above the indicated temperature is possible.
Hazardous reactions:
Accumulation of fine dust may entail the risk of a dust explosion in the presence of air.
Hazardous decomposition products:
isobutyraldehyde, carbon dioxide, nitrogen mono

Disposal considerations

Test for use in agriculture.
Contact manufacturer.
Contaminated packaging:
Contaminated packaging should be emptied as far as possible; then it can be passed on for recycling
after being thoroughly cleaned.
