Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The mean burning rates (t1 and t2 > 180 s) of the 4:1 and the 1:1 mixing ratio of potassium bromate to cellulose are greater than the mean burning rates of the 3:7 mixing ratio of potassium bromate to cellulose (R1= 116 s).
Based on the test results and according to the criteria of the UN Recommandations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Manual of Tests and Criteria, the test substance potassium chromate is not assigned to Class 5.1 "Oxidizing solids" of the International Dangerous Goods Regulations and also not to the hazard class "Oxidizing solids" of Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (ELP Regulation) or the GHS.
