First-aid measures

General advice: Remove contaminated clothing.

Inhalation: Remove the affected individual into fresh air and keep the person calm. Assist in breathing if necessary. Immediate medical attention required.

Skin contact: Wash affected areas with water while removing contaminated clothing. Immediate medical attention required.

Eye contact: In case decomposition products come into contact with the eyes, immediately flush with running water for at least 15 minutes. Immediate medical attention required.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth if the victim is unconscious or having convulsions. Immediate medical attention required.

Protection of first-aiders: A rescuer should wear personal protective equipment, such as rubber gloves and air-tight goggles.

Notes to physician: Medical observation is indicated.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water, Carbon dioxide, Foam, Dry powder.

Special Hazards: Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire. Fire may cause evolution of: Nitrogen Oxides.

Advice for firefighters: Stay in danger area only with self-contained breathing apparatus. Prevent skin contact by keeping a safe distance or by wearing suitable protective clothing.

Further information: Suppress gases/vapours/mists with a water spray jet. Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedure: Breathing protection required. Use personal protective clothing. Source of ignition should be kept well clear.

Environmental precautions: Do not empty into drains. Contain contaminated water/ fire fighting water.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Sweep the dust to collect it into an airtight container, taking care not to disperse it. Adhered or

collected material should be promptly disposed of in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations.

Further information: Release of substance/product can cause fire or explosion.

Handling and storage

Handling

Precautions for safe handling: Ensure adequate exhaustion and ventilation. Do not feed back exhausted air into working areas. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from open flames, hot surface and sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharge.

Storage

General advice: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Stored under inert gas. Protect against heat. Protect from direct sunlight. Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks and open flame.

Storage condition: Storage temperature: + 5 °C and the temperature must be monitored. Improper storage may result in pressure build up in the drums.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Install a closed system or local exhaust. Also install safety shower and eye bath.

2. Organisational protection measures: see 1.

3. Hand protection: Wear chemical resistant protective gloves.

4. Feet protection: /

5. Body protection: Flame retardant and antistatic protective clothing.

6. Eye protection: Wear fitting safety goggles (chemical goggles). If required, please wear faceshield.

7. Respiratory protection: Dust respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), supplied air respirator, etc. Use respirators approved under appropriate government standard and follow local and national regulations.

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. No eating, drinking, smoking or tobacco use at the place of work.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable under proper conditions.

Reactivity: No special reactivity has been reported.

Conditions to avoid: Aviod all sources of ignition: heat, sparks and open flame. Avoid dust formation.

Incompatible materials: Oxidizing agents, acids, oxygen, salts of heavy metals.

Hazardous decomposition Products: Nitrogen oxides (NOX), Dimethylamine and Hydrogen gas.

Disposal considerations

Recycle to process, if possible. Consult your local regional authorities. You may be able to dissolve or mix material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber system. Observe all federal,

state and local regulations when disposing of the substance.
