Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

In the preliminary test the sample dimethylamine-borane (1:1) melted but could not be ignited.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The substance dimethylamine-borane (1:1) is not combustible.
Executive summary:

The sample dimethylamine-borane is not classified as Division 4.1 "Flammable Solids " of the transport regulations, because it could not be ignited in the preliminary screening test.

Based on the test results the test sample is also not classified in the Hazard Class "Flammable Solids" of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation) and the GHS.

Description of key information

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The sample dimethylamine-borane (1:1) is not classified as Division 4.1 "Flammable Solids" of the transport regulations, because it could not be ignited in the preliminary screening test.

Based on the test results the sample "Dimethylaminoborane min. 97 %" (2.23/300117 /02) is also not classified in the Hazard Class "Flammable Solids" of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP-Regulation)

and the GHS.
