As PMDI is a reactant with water, access of water to PMDI and vice versa is strictly controlled. Furthermore, PMDI polymerizes in the presence of water and thus exposure of PMDI to sediment is highly likely to be negligible. Therefore, a PNEC sediment cannot be determined experimentally for PMDI.
