Description of key information

Additional information

The test substance is an orange powder. The melting point is >300°C and therefore boiling point, vapour pressure and flash point could be waived. The density at 20°C is 1460 kg/m3 with a mass median diameter of 13.1 µm. The calculated partition coefficient between n-octanol and aqueous phase is: log Pow: ca -10.8. The water solubility of the test substance is 341 g/L at 20°C and its fat solubility is lower than 0.1 mg/100g fat at 37°C. The surface tension of aqueous solution at 20 °C lies between 68.6 - 69.8 mN/m at 1.0 g/L solution and between 44.6 - 49.8 mN/m at 10 g/L. The auto flammability temperature of the test substance is 340°C and it is not highly flammable. The test substance is not explosive, has no oxidizing properties, and is thermally stable. Therefore, classification of the test substance is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
