In a study performed according to EU Method A.8 , the partition coefficient of the test substance between n-octanol and aqueous phase was determined (Ciba-Geigy 1987). The preliminary test, performed by the shake flask procedure, has shown that the expected log Pow lies outside the range accessible by the shake flask method and therefore had to be calculated. The calculated partition coefficient of the test substance between n-octanol and aqueous phase is: ca -10.8 (log Pow).
