Two separate TGD-approved handbooks report that the susbtance has an auto ignition temperature of 399°C to 455.6°C
Information regarding auto flammability of IPA was sourced from two
separate handbooks. CRC Handbook of Chemistry and
Physics (81st Ed.) and Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs,
and Biologicals (14th Ed.), which are known to contain peer-reviewed
data of Klimisch-2 reliability report that the substance has an auto
ignition temperature of 399°C
and 455.6°C, respectively. This
value is above boiling point of 82.5°C,
and represents the lowest temperature at which vapours of IPA will
spontaneously ignite in a normal atmosphere without an external source
