Further standard conditions:
- Basins have been cleaned with RBS-35 solution (FLUKA 83462) and rinsed with clean water.
- Testing water should be kept at a pH between 6 and 8.5. In case of deviations, pH needs to be adjusted with NaOH or HCl solution.
- Acclimatization period: minimum 12 days at 10-13 °C for trout.
- Feeding periods: daily (TETRA MIN, flocks, Dr. U.Baersch GmbH, D-4520 Melle, Germany)
- Day-night cycles: 12/12h
- Termination: For termination of the experiment MS-222 (Sandoz) should be used at 1 % (Methacain).

Details on results:
No mortality was seen at 100 and 200 mg/L concentrations, however at 1000 mg/L, 6 out of 8 fish were found to have died during the 48 hour observation period.

Conclusions:
The TL50 of FAT 40061/A in this fish acute toxicity test was determined to be 570 mg/L.
Executive summary:

The acute fish toxicity test was performed using a methodology equivalent or similar to OECD Guideline 203. Rainbow trout were used in this test. Groups of fish, each containing 8 fish, were exposed to test concentrations of 100, 200 and 1000 mg/L. No mortality was seen at 100 and 200 mg/L concentrations, however at 1000 mg/L, 6 out of 8 fish were found to have died during the 48 hour observation period. Based on these findings, the 48 h TL50 of FAT 40061/A was determined to be 570 mg/L.
