Appearance: Yellow powder
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Type:

Partition coefficient:
-2.18
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH is not known
Details on results:
Calculation of the partition coefficient log Pow from the individual solubilities
By means of the flask method, the saturation concentration of the test item in n-octanol was determined to: 432 mg/l.
By means of the flask method, the saturation concentration of the test item in water was determined to: 65.5 g/l
Conclusions:
The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item at 20°C, from the individual solubilities in water and n-octanol, was determined to:
log P ow = -2.18
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item was determined according to method A.8 and OECD test guideline 107. The estimated logPOW is out of the range (-2 to 4), the partition coefficient n-octanol/water has to be estimated from the individual solubilities in water and n-octanol.. According to this preliminary test the solubility of the test item in n-octanol is about 400 mg/l (without correction for the purity).

The partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test item at 20°C, from the individual solubilities in water and n-octanol, was determined to: log P ow = -2.18
