short-term toxicity to fish

Oryzias latipes

LC50(96h) = 4.5 mg/L (nominal)

short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Daphnia magna

waived, poor water solubility, chronic data available

long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Daphnia magna

NOEC(21d) = 6.5 µg/L

toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata

EC50(72h) = 6.17 mg/L (nominal) LOEC (72h) = 3.76 mg/L (nominal)

toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria (2012)

Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata

EC50(72h) >236 µg/l (solubility limit)

toxicity to microorganisms

no effect at 1000 mg/L

The 96 hr LC50 for fish, the ErC50 for algal growth inhibition were all greater than the solubility of the test material. No toxicity to microorganisms was observed at a loading dose of 1000 mg/l, also above the solubility limit. The 21- day NOEC was greater than 6.5 μg/L, the maximum concentration it was possible to maintain over the course of the study (nominal 20μg/L); no effects were observed in this study. It is therefore concluded that no effects have been observed in either short or long term tests for any aquatic species tested
