- Conclusions:
- The log of the adsorption coefficient (KOC) of di-tert-butyl 1,1,4,4-tetramethyltetramethylene diperoxide (CAS# 78-63-7) was calculated to be log KOC = 4.72 which is equal to a KOC value of 52600 using the HPLC method.
- Executive summary:
The adsorption coefficient of the test item has been determined.
The determination was carried out using the HPLC screening method, designed to becompatible with Method 121 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals,22 January 2001. The log of the adsorption coefficient (KOC) of di-tert-butyl 1,1,4,4-tetramethyltetramethylene diperoxide (CAS# 78-63-7) was calculated to be log KOC = 4.72 which is equal to a KOC value of 52600 using the HPLC method.

Description of key information
The Koc of the substance was calculated as 52400 using OECD 121.
The Log Koc of the test substance was therefore approximately 4.72.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Koc at 20 °C:
- 52 400
Additional information
The adsorption coefficient of the substance in soil and sludge using an HPLC method was estimated in a reliable GLP study following OECD 121. Based on two measurements of the substance, and by comparison with reference substances, the Koc of the substance was calculated as 52600 at 30°C.
The Log Koc of the test substance was therefore approximately 4.72.
