Description of first measures
- General notes : Take off contaminated clothes
- Inhalation: Keep patient calm, Remove to fresh air and treat symptomatically. Acquire medical advice.
- Skin contact: Wash affected areas with plenty of soap and water, if available, for several minutes. Get medical attention if irritation occurs.
- Eye contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for several minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
- Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. Ask for medical advise

Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, dry extinguishing media, foam (CO2)
Special hazard arising from the substance :
• May produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrogen chloride when heated to decomposition
• Powder will not easily ignite in bulk, but may burn or smolder and may evolve flammable vapour, if involved in fire.
Advice for firefighters
Fire fighters should wear full protective clothing and NIOSH approved self contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
For non-emergency personnel
Protective equipment: Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing and also provide respiratory equipments and eye protection.
Emergency procedures: Cover spill with some inert absorbent material. Provide ventilation and control dust formation
Removal of ignition sources: In case of a fire, remove source of ignition if this can be done without risks.
Provision of sufficient ventilation: Proper ventilation should be provided to avoid the formation of dust and collection of the hazardous decomposition products in case of an emergency.
Control of dust: Avoid dust generation and accumulation by the provision of adequate ventilation
For emergency responders: Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing. Avoid breathing vapours, gas in case of fire. Prevent dust generation as dusty conditions increase the risk of a dust explosion hazard

Do not drain into soil or streams or sources of water. Ventilate area
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Containment technique:
(a) Bunding, covering of drains: Ensure that the product does not enter drains or sources of water by proper covering of drainage system.
(b) Capping procedures: Keep in tightly closed packing.
Cleaning up:
(a) neutralisation techniques : Absorb spill with non-combustible inert material
(b) Decontamination techniques: Wash thoroughly with water after dealing with a spillage.
(c) Adsorbent materials: Cover with some inert absorbent material such as sand, earth.
(d) Cleaning techniques: Sweep up, place in bag and hold for waste disposal.
(e) Equipment required for containment/clean-up: Use non-sparking tools for clean-up where there are chances of dust formation.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Recommendations shall be specified to:
(a) Allow safe handling of the substance: Do not expose to high temperatures and keep away from sources of ignition. Use adequately ventilated areas for storage.
(b) Prevent handling of incompatible substances: Avoid handling the substance while working with oxidizing agents and acids.
(c) Reduce the release of the substance to the environment: Do not release into the atmosphere or water sources. Do not drain into soil.
Advice on general occupational hygiene shall be provided:
(a) Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas
(b) Wash hands after use and before eating
(c) Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas
