Results and discussion
Toxicokinetic / pharmacokinetic studies
- Details on absorption:
- The absorption capacity of 4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is low, which is also supported by the fact that the bioaccumulation factor for the substnace is much lower (BCF = 350) and so even after the exposure the absorption capability will be less in this case. Also dermal absorption of 4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is is predicted to be very low based on the value 0.00010 mg/cm2/event
- Details on distribution in tissues:
- In case the substance,4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is absorbed (though in small quantity) it will not be accumulated in the body. This is supported by the fact that the substance has low BCF value of 350 and very poor solubility in water. Thus even if the substance will enter the body it will get distributed through the lipid in the body.
- Details on excretion:
- Further to this distribution after the absorption process, the excretion process through urine would be faster as the molecular weight of the substance, 4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is 375.5 (i.e. > 300) and this is a favourable value for excretion via the urine route.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): no bioaccumulation potential based on study results
In case the substance,4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is absorbed (though in small quantity) it will not be accumulated in the body. This is supported by the fact that the substance has low BCF value (BCF = 350) and also has low value of Kow indicating poor solubility in water which will support the fact that though the substance will enter the body but will get distributed through the lipid in the body. Also dermal absorption of 4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is predicted to be very low based on the value 0.00010 mg/cm2/event. Also, the excretion process through urine would be faster as the molecular weight of the substance, 4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is 375.5 (i.e. > 300) and this is a favourable value for excretion via the urine route. - Executive summary:
In case the substance,4,4'-bis(dimethylamino)-4''-(methylamino)trityl alcohol is absorbed (though in small quantity) it will not be accumulated in the body.
