Based on the results from the Fugacity Model Level I, once released into the environment, sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate will be distributed entirely in water (100%) whereas negligible amounts are expected in soil, air, sediment and biota. Furthermore, sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate rapidly degrades in water to 2,4-dichlorophenxyacetic acid, substance which exhibits a low adsorption potential (Koc = 56). The Henry’s Law Constant value (9.37 x 10-4) indicates that sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate will not tend to evaporate from the water surface.
