- Executive summary:
The boiling point of the REACh substance (2-Hydroxy-3-sulphopropyl) dimethyl[3-[(1-oxododecyl) amino]propyl]ammonium hydroxide (EC 242-893-1) was investigated in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range) and EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature). The mean boiling point of the test item was 311.6 ± 0.5 °C.
Reference
Five assays were performed during the test, the temperature values obtained for the corrected boiling point varied between 305.8 and 313.9 °C. The mean value for the boiling point is explained as the mean of at least two assays for which the the boiling point value are in the range of the estimated accuracy of the method: ± 0.5 °C up to 326.9 °C and ± 2.0 °C above 326.9 °C.
The assays No. 3 and 5 were taken into account for the boiling point.
