Description of key information

A GLP study was performed to assess the effect of 2,2,6,6,-tetramethyl-4 -oxopiperidinooxy on the reproduction of Daphnia Magna over a period of 21 days. The study was performed in accordance with OECD guideline 202.
The 14 and 21-day EC50(immobilisation) values for the parental Daphnia generation were calculated to be 20 and 13 mg ai/l with 85% confidence limits of 17 – 23 mg ai/l and 7.4 - 23 mg ai/l respectively.
The 21-day EC50(reproduction) is considered to be 7.4 mg ai/l.
All values quoted are based on nominal concentrations.
The ‘No Observed Effect Concentration’ (NOEC) is considered to be 2.3 mg ai/l.

Additional information

A reliability rating of 1 was assigned to the key study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in accordance with recognised guidelines and GLP.
