A GLP study in accordance with OECD guideline 301F (Commander R F, 2012) was performed to assess the ready biodegradability of 4-Oxo Tempo.

The results show that the maximum mean biodegradation observed for 4-Oxo Tempo was <2.6% over the 28 day test period. Therefore it can be concluded that 4-Oxo Tempo is not readily biodegradable.

Additional biodegradation studies were not considered necessary, as based on the chemical safety report direct, or indirect exposure to the environment is unlikely.
