Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Appearance / physical state / colour

The test substance is a liquid at 20 °C and 1013 hPa.

Melting point / freezing point

At room temperature the test item is a liquid and upon cooling down to -25 °C the sample becomes glass-like.

Boiling point

The boiling point was determined to be 207.6 °C at 1013 hPa.

Density

The density of the test item at 20 °C was determined to be 1.0293 g/mL. The relative density was calculated to be 1.0293.

Vapour pressure

Using the vapour pressure balance method the vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be <1E-5 hPa at 20 °C, <1E-5 hPa at 25 °C and 2.63E-5 hPa at 50 °C.

Partition coefficient

Due to rapid hydrolysis of the test substance (see: Section 5.1.2 on hydrolysis study) upon contact with water, measurement of the partition coefficient of the test substance was technically not feasible. The log Kow of the test substance was estimated to be 6.8532 (KOWWIN Program (v1.68)).

Water solubility

The determination of the water solubility of the test item was not feasible, since upon mixing the test item with water and immediate reaction occurred and the test item and respectively its hydrolysis products precipitated as solid on the surface of the glass flask. The water solubility of Incozol EH was calculated to be 1.6795 mg/L at 25 °C using WATERNT Program (v1.01).

Solubility in organic solvents / fat solubility

The fat solubility of the test item was determined to be 138.5 g per 1000 g fat.

Flash point

The flash point of the test item was determined to be 70 °C (at 1006 - 1020 hPa).

Auto flammability

The temperature for auto flammability of the test item was determined to be at 330 °C (at 980 - 986 hPa).

Explosiveness

The test item was assessed for its explosive properties regarding sensitivity to heat, shock and friction. The results showed that the test item was not explosive.

Viscosity

The viscosity of the test substance was determined to be 3800 cps at 20 °C.
