In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the oxidising study does not need to be conducted as ethyl methyl carbonate is considered to be highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the structure of ethyl methyl carbonate, it is not considered to have oxidising properties. It is not classified for oxidising properties according to the criteria of:

- Directive 67/548/EEC

- Regulation 1272/2008 (EU CLP GHS)

No classification for oxidising properties is applied to ethyl methyl carbonate in Annex VI of the CLP Regulation No. 1272/2008.
