Details on metabolites:
Statement: "One mole of dimethyl carbonate is degraded to two moles of methanol plus one mole of carbon dioxide".

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In this regulatory review of dimethyl carbonate it is assumed that mammalian metabolism will be via enzymic hydrolysis, forming methanol and carbon dioxide. Comparable metabolism of ethyl methyl carbonate would form ethanol, methanol and carbon dioxide.
