Description of key information

In a study according to EPA OTS 797.1300 (Aquatic Invertebrate Acute Toxicity Test, Freshwater Daphnids) using a mixture of the registered substance and a close homologue with a C8 instead of a C10 chain, an acute daphnia toxicity LC50 (48h) of 7.7 mg/l was determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
7.7 mg/L

Additional information

A reliable GLP-study investigating the acute toxicity to daphnia magna of a mixture of the registered substance and a close homologue with a C8 instead of a C10 chain is available. The daphnia were exposed for 48h in a static system. The LC50 was 7.7 mg/L.

Results are read-across to the registered substance.
