Description of key information

In a study according to OECD test guideline 203 under GLP with Brachydanio rerio using two test substance concentrations of a mixture of the registered substance and a close homologue with a C8 instead of a C10 chain, an acute fish toxicity LC50 (96h) of 14.8 mg/l was determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
14.8 mg/L

Additional information

Three sufficiently reliable GLP-studies investigating the acute toxicity to fish of a mixture of the registered substance and a close homologue with a C8 instead of a C10 chain are available. All three studies exposed the fish for 96h in a static system.

Respective LC50 ranged from 14.8 to 21.1 mg/L. As all studies were of suffiecient reliability, the study with lowest LC 50 (Clariant 93.0432) was assigned as the key study.

Results are read-across to the registered substance.
