Description of key information

The auto flammability of the test material has been reported to be 335 °C , although various data exist the weight of evidence basis approach allows a conclusion to be drawn.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
335 °C

Additional information

The auto flammability of the test material has addressed on a weight of evidence basis using four company material safety data sheets; TCI (2010), Alfa Aesar (2007), Sigma Aldrich (2012) and Chemical Book (2012). All sources reported the auto flammability temperature to be between 353 -373 °C. They have all been assigned a reliability score of 4 according to Klimisch (1977) as it is not possible to assess the accuracy of the data from the limited information they provide. However there is sufficient consistency between these sources to allow a conclusion to be drawn.
