Description of key information

Vapour pressure (trimethoxy(2-methylpropyl)silane: 190 Pa at 25°C (QSAR)
Vapour pressure ((2-methylpropyl)silanetriol): 0.00294 Pa at 25°C (QSAR)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
190 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A vapour pressure of 190 Pa at 25°C was determined for the substance using an appropriate QSAR predictive method. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key. Trimethoxy(2-methylpropyl)silane was reported to have a vapour pressure value of 300 Pa at 20°C in a secondary source to which no reliability could be assigned. This value supports the key study.

The vapour pressure of the hydrolysis product was determined to be 0.0029 Pa at 25°C using an appropriate QSAR estimation method.

A measured vapour pressure of 12 790 Pa at 20°C is available for methanol (OECD, 2004)
