bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment to the substance is unlikely

Description of key information

Di-tert butyl peroxide is only used in industrial settings (manufacture, and downstream use) with no wide dispersive uses. Releases to the aquatic compartment are very unlikely due to the highly contained processes during manufacture and downstream (industrial) use.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
