Description of key information

MV 31 is not explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The explosiveness of MV 31 was evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry. The decomposition energy measured was -121.2 J/g (exothermic reaction). Since the heat of decomposition was less than 500 J/g, no further testing on explosive properties was necessary per Annex VII of REACH. This test was performed according to internationally-accepted guidelines and under GLP criteria. It is considered reliable without restrictions.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Conclusive but not sufficient for classification.
