Description of key information

The 48 hour EC50 of 5-Amino-o-cresol to Daphnia magna was 2.3 mg/L (95% CL: 1.7 – 2.5 mg/L), based on nominal test concentration (nominal concentrations were stable during the test).

Additional information

The 48 hour EC50 value of 5 -amino-o-cresol to Daphnia magnawas determined under semi-static conditions following procedures as described in the OECD guideline 202 acute toxicity for daphnia under GLP conditions.

The nominal test concentrations were 0 (control) 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.6 and 10 mg/L. All measured concentrations were within the 80% to 120% of nominal and therefore the results are based on nominal test concentrations. There were 4 replicates per test concentration with 5 daphnia/ replicate.

The % immobility (mortality) observed at 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.6 and 10 mg/L was 0, 20, 100, 100 and 100% respectively after 48 hour observation time.

The 48 hour EC50 of 5 -Amino-o-cresol to Daphnia magna was 2.3 mg/L (95% CL: 1.7 – 2.5 mg/L), based on nominal test concentration.
