Executive summary:

The 96 -hour toxicity of 2 -bromopropane to Oryzias latipes was studied under semi-static conditions in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, No. 203, Fish Acute Toxicity Test. Fish were exposed to 2 -bromopropane at nominal concentrations of: control, 10.0, 18.0, 32.0, 56.0, 100.0 mg/L (geometric ratio approximately 1.8). Mortality effects were observed every 24 hours.

The 96 hour LC50was > 66.6 mg/L.
