Description of key information

The 48–hr-acute toxicity of 2 -bromopropane to Daphnia magna was studied under semi-static conditions according to OECD Guideline No. 202.  The 48 – hour EC50 was 23.1 mg./L and the 48 – hr NOEC based on immobilization was 17.4 mg./L as determined in the same test. Results based on geometric mean of measured values (meets guidelines for cases where test substance concentration is not maintained above 80% of the initial concentration). Similar results were obtained from one other reliable study.
