Additional information

Based on manufacturing controls and intended use, Vinyl neodecanoate is not anticipated to be released to the aquatic and terrestrial environments. PNEC values were derived as per ECHA guidance (RIP 3.2, Chapter R. 10) If a release to the environment dose occur a PNEC value of 0.42 ug/L is believed to be protective of fresh water organisms. A PNEC value of 0.011 ug/L is considered to be protective of marine organisms. The PNEC stp based on the results of an O.E.C.D. 209 Testing guideline study is > 5.0 mg/L.

Conclusion on classification

N; R50-53 Dangerous for the environment; Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. The GHS/CLP clasification and labelling is Acute env. tox Category I with Hazard statement of, Very Toxic to aquatic life. The Labelling/Signal word is "Warning". This classification and labeling for Vinyl Neodecanoate is based upon this substance's low/no biodegradation, potential to bioconcentrate and marine copepod (crustacea) 48 hr EC50 values of < 1 mg/L.
