Executive summary:

To determine the 1-octanol solubility of diisobutyl phosphate, an adapted guideline study according OECD 105 (Water solubility) was performed on the test item. In an initial test, the solubility of the test item in 1-octanol was determined to be >10^-2 g/L. Hence, the shake flask method from the OECD 105 was employed for the preliminary test. In the preliminary test three samples of different 1-octanol/test sample ratios were prepared as follows: 10+1, 1+1, 1+10. Diisobutyl phosphate was fully miscible with 1-octanol in all three samples. The solubility was determined as >8259 g/L.
