The melting point of the test substance is 31°C at atm. pressure.
A literature review was conducted. In a
weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated.
REAXYS reports the melting point of
1-(vinyloxy)octadecane to be 31 °C at atm. pressure. The Syracuse
Research Coperation, Physical Properties Database reports the melting
point of 1-(vinyloxy)octadecane to be 30 °C at atm. pressure.
The Yaws' Handbook of Physical Properties
for Hydrocarbons and Chemicals database reports the melting point of 1
-(vinyloxyoctadecane to be also 30 °C at atm. pressure.
Three independent literature sources report
the melting point to be in the same range. Thus, the melting point of 31
°C at atm. pressure from REAXYS which is a peer reviewed data base was
chosen as key value.
