Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish, no toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Leuciscus idus, no toxic effects occured at the test concentration of nominally 10000 mg/L (BASF AG 10F0736/875154, 1988). Although undissolved test substance was visible on the water surface, it can be assumed that the maximum water soluble amount of the test substance (< 0.1 mg/L according to BASF AG, BRU 91.323, 1991) was dissolved and that the test concentration was saturated up to the limit of water solubility. Conclusively, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish.
