First-aid measures

Move out of dangerous area. Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance

If inhaled: Obtain medical attention immediately.

In case of skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Carefully remove paste or solidified product. Wash skin immediately with 0,5 % acetic acid in water, and then with soap and water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician. Skin irritation, if untreated may be prolonged and serious (eg necrosis). This may be prevented by early treatment with medium strength corticosteroids.

In case of eye contact: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with 0.5% acetic acid in water for a few minutes, followed by rinsing with plenty of water for as long as possible. Eyelids should be held away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse during transport. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing.

If swallowed: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet

Treat as oil fire. Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire. Water spray may be ineffective unless used by experienced firefighters. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Combustion products: Carbon oxides Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.

Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations

Accidental release measures

Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust.

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Avoid formation of respirable particles.

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.

Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Avoid elevated temperatures

Reacts with copper, aluminium, zinc and their alloys.

No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
