Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Di-EPh was assessed for genotoxicity in in vitro bacterial mutagenicity, chromosome aberration and mammalian cell mutagenicity assays. Di-EPh was not mutagenic or clastogenic in any of the assays.

Short description of key information:
A bacterial mutagenicity, chromosome aberration and mammalian cell mutagenicity assay are available for Di-EPh. All studies are Klimisch reliability 1, OECD guideline studies. In addition, in vivo and in vitro genotoxicity studies on the structural analogue E-Ph are also available. These data are included for information only since the studies on Di-EPh are sufficient to meet the data requirements.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification is required due to the absence of genotoxicity and clastogenicity in the available OECD guideline studies.
