Description of key information

No toxicity tests were available for sediment toxicity for Di-EPh.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Di-EPh is water soluble and has a very low potential for adsorption to organic matter. Therefore, the predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) for sediment was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method. Using this PNECsediment, the risk characterization shows that the PEC/PNECsediment ratio for the aquatic environment is clearly <1, indicating no further information or testing is necessary.
