2,6-dibromo-4-cyanophenyl heptanoate is hydrolytically degraded at 25 °C with a half-life of 4.1 days at pH 9, 5.3 days at pH 7 and 11.7 days at pH 5 (13.7, 17.7 and 39 days, recalculated to 12 °C).

 

Moreover, the test substance 2,6-dibromo-4-cyanophenyl heptanoate is photolytically degraded in air with a half-life of 47 h and in aqueous solution with a half-life ranging from 18 hours to >1 year.
