No data on hydrolysis of sodium acrylate are available; therefore, this parameter is covered by the structural analogue acrylic acid.

A study showed that 14C-acrylic acid was stable to hydrolysis at pH 3, pH 7, and pH 11 at 25°C. Since 14C-acrylic acid was stable at these pH values, no rate constants or half-lives were calculated. Therefore, hydrolysis will not contribute significantly to the abiotic degradation process of neither acrylic acid nor sodium acrylate.
