Endpoint:
explosiveness
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Description of key information

This end point was considered for waiver since in accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. Thus, hydrogen [4-[4-(diethylamino)-2',4'-disulphonatobenzhydrylidene]cyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene]diethylammonium, sodium salt (Synonyn C.I. Food Blue 3, Patent Blue V) is unlikely to exhibit explosive property.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

This end point was considered for waiver since in accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. Thus, hydrogen [4-[4-(diethylamino)-2',4'-disulphonatobenzhydrylidene]cyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene]diethylammonium, sodium salt (Synonyn C.I. Food Blue 3, Patent Blue V) is unlikely to exhibit explosive property.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule of hydrogen [4-[4-(diethylamino)-2',4'-disulphonatobenzhydrylidene]cyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene]diethylammonium, sodium salt (Synonyn C.I. Food Blue 3, Patent Blue V). Thus, the chemical is unlikely to exhibit explosive property and is classfied as "Not Explosive".
